Journeys of the Global ARC are designed as field research mechanisms, human interest story generators, and networking catalysts for alternative development. The specific aims include: (1) identify and learn from a range of promising solutions to serious problems of unsustainable development, (2) share exciting success stories from the field, in real time, by harnessing the power of multimedia and social networking technologies, and (3) establish new connections and working relationships for The Global ARC to foster progressive action research and globally-minded planning pedagogy around the world.
