Dear all:
only three weeks away form the ACSP meeting in Milwaukee, we would like to share some information on upcoming panels and roundtables; and also remind you that we are still accepting (self) nomination to serve as Gpeig co-chair. Please feel free to submit your nomination to us until October 11th, but we do NOT plan to take nominations in Milwaukee.
To inform you of the upcoming sessions of interest to the group please find the following;
1. A list of panels in IDP track (thanks to Victoria Beard and Keith Pezolli track co-chairs for providing the list). Please note that there are other panels at the conference that concern important global planning issues but are not included in this list as they have been submitted through other tracks --the good news is the integration of global planning issues in all tracks.
2) A list of Gpeig pre-organized sessions on Ethics and Politics of International Development Planning, which emerged from discussions at last year’s Gpeig luncheon meeting.
In that list there is one information that needs clarification as it might not appear in the program you’ll receive in Milwaukee. The session listed as Gpeig hosted session for Friday morning refers to an innovative mixed poster roundtable discussions on Ethics in International Planning Educational Exchange . This panel will be held 9:00 am to 11:15 and will go through the 10 o’clock break to 11:15. Gpeig will keep the 8-9 time slot on Friday morning, in case there is an overflow of discussions at Thursday’s luncheon business meeting.
We look forward to seeing many of you at the Thursday’s luncheon business meeting and various panels throughout the conference.
Warmly,
Faranak, Michael, Petra and Annette
