Professor of Medical Microbiology & Immunobiology

Bio/Research Summary:

Raul Baptista Rosas received his M.D. in Military Medical School at the University of Army and Air Force, Mexico in 1996 and MSc in the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) in 2006, since then, he has been Research and Professor in the School of Health Sciences at UABC, Ensenada, Mexico. He teaches courses on medical microbiology, immunobiology, microbial ecology and host-pathogen interactions.

Baptista’s research focuses on ecology of infectious diseases, Climatic Change impact in spatial distribution of pathogens and conservation medicine.

Baptista leads a molecular epidemiology lab at the School of Health Sciences UABC.
